Our Story
The family winery was founded in 2018 by the Egoyan couple in the village of Aratashen in the Ararat Valley.

The Beginning
As always, everything began with love and a dream: to create wine from indigenous Armenian grapes, grown on the native soil that still remembers the feeling when the vine fills with divine nectar, infused with love and memory. The family winery was founded in 2018 by the Egoyan couple in the village of Aratashen in the Ararat Valley, near the famous archaeological site where 8000-year-old grape seeds were discovered.

Today
Today, Aratashen Winery has exemplary vineyards of Armenian endemic grape varieties, Areni and Voskehat, which expand every year.
The complete production chain of wine – from careful grape pressing, all the way to bottling – combines the ancient heritage of Armenian winemaking with innovative production approaches.
And the result of our work is SHUNCH wine, which is presented in the following categories:
- Red (from Areni grapes) and white (from Voskehat grapes)
- Sparkling wines (from Voskehat grapes) made using the Charmat method and the classic champagne method.
